All My Love

So I’m hanging out in Atlanta, step into an elevator and say, “Hi!” to the gentleman that is already “going up.”  I asked him if he worked in the building or if he was just meeting somebody, and he told me that his studio was upstairs!

I said, “Man, you’re kidding!  I’m looking to hook up with a great producer.  Can I hear some of your stuff?”   He said, “Sure, follow me!”

The next thing you know I’m sitting in Guy Mitchell, Jr.’s Buckhead studio, listening to some amazing tracks.

The one that really caught my attention had a hypnotic synth bass line, and was laced with percussive rhythms that sent me with reckless abandon down a memory lane filled with adventurous passion…like…

…. Sharing a full moon across West Indian waters… as we reminisced about our “meeting” at thirty two thousand feet … anxiously anticipating a passionate reunion… like all star crossed lovers do…

…Stormy summer nights with windows open… drapes blowing in the wind… as our shadows danced on the ceiling when the lightning lit up the room.   The sound of the wheels on the bottom of the twin size bed … as we rolled across the hardwood floor… leaving footprints on the walls … as our duet harmonized with the rumbling thunder… drowned out the sounds of the “quite storm” playing on the radio…

…I couldn’t wait to record All My Love!

Guy co-produced “My Baby Daddy” with L.A. Snow and collaborated with me on “We Married – The Bride Slide.”   I called in Darien Emory to lay a sensual sax solo, Wizard Jones (Soul Train Music Awards, Toni Braxton, TLC, Silk, SOS Band, New Edition, and Bell, Biv, DeVoe and is the keyboard player for Justin Bieber).to lay down the guitar, and Palmer Williams, Jr. (“Floyd” House of Payne, Love Thy Neighbor, Monica, LSG, Keith Sweat, A Good Man Is Hard To Find!, Can A Woman Make A Man Lose His Mind?, What a Man Wants…What a Woman Needs) sang the background vocals.

Oh, and that female voice saying “closer” … I’ll just say … shhhh….
